The historic Barrister Place building in downtown Phoenix opened in 1915 as the Jefferson Hotel. At the time of its opening, it was the tallest building in Arizona! Later, it was used at the beginning of the famous 1960s horror movie “Psycho.”
McNeil Engineering was excited to work in part with Hubbard Engineering on the famous “Psycho Hotel” project. McNeil Engineering used 3D laser scanning equipment to scan the exterior of the building for Hubbard Engineering. This 3D laser scanner helped to create a highly accurate representation of the existing conditions of the building for historical documentation before any renovations or future expansion of the facility. We loved being part of this famous bit of history!
